Chinese smartphone maker Gionee has released a new budget smartphone named Pioneer P4S. The device, which was originally unveiled in November 2014, has been priced at Rs 7,799 for the Indian market.
The Android 4.4 KitKat-based Pioneer P4S is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone with a 4.5-inch (unspecified resolution) display. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB.
The Pioneer P4S comes in a crystal skin semi-transparent shell. It comes with a 5MP rear camera with LED Flash along with a 2MP front camera. The Pioneer P4S rear camera features face recognition, Panorama, geo tagging, and HDR options. On the connectivity front, the it P4S offers dual SIM card slots with support for 3G along with regular features and is powered by a 1,800 mAh battery. The device runs the older Android 4.4 KitKat OS. The handset measures 134.5×67.7×8.7mm.
It also features HotKnot file transfer technology, which is similar to near field communications (NFC) in terms of application. The device also allows users to “flip the phone to transfer files, get the perfect photo, listen to surround music, stay secured in the cyber world and definitely flip to discover a sexy phone.”
