Local smartphone manufacturer, iBall has just launched a new smartphone, the Andi 5M Xotic in India. The device has been priced at Rs.8,199. Previously, it was listed at Rs.8,950 on an online retailer in February.
This iBall phone runs on the Android 4.4 KitKat OS which is upgradable to the latest version 5.0 Lollipop.
Running on a Cortex A7 1.3 GHz processor, the phone comes with an 8 megapixel rear camera (with LED flash and auto-focus support) and a 3.2 megapixel snapper located on the front. The only feature that’s really great on the iBall Andi 5M Xotic specifications list is its memory. Coupled with the 16 GB internal memory that can be extended up to 32 GB via microSD card, is the 2 GB RAM.
Stretched across the smartphone’s face is a 5-inch IPS display of 960 x 540p qHD clarity, crowned by a 3.2MP webcam. Another camera of 8MP resolution can be found on the back panel. It has dual LED flash, a BSI sensor and auto focus. The Andi 5M Xotic is capable of connecting to 3G networks and delivers standard connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB tethering and so on.
The handset is powered by a 2000mAh battery and has some user-friendly functions including ‘flip to mute’. Rivals to the Andi 5M Xotic cover the Moto E 2nd gen with 4G and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G.
