Microsoft Lumia 540 Dual SIM With 5-Inch Display, 8-Megapixel Camera unveiled

Microsoft has announced another entry level smartphone- the Lumia 540 Dual SIM priced at $150 (roughly Rs. 9,361). The smartphone will be available from next month in India, Middle East, Africa (IMEA) and Asia Pacific (APAC) countries.

Worthy successor of the Lumia 530, the Lumia 540 Dual SIM features the Smart Dual SIM feature to let you create unique profiles for each SIM and also stay connected with call-forwarding. The handset is powered by Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim update out of the box and it will be upgradable to the Windows 10 when that comes.

The Lumia 540 Dual-SIM is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM. It has 8GB internal memory expandable via microSD card slot up to 128 GB. Users also get 15GB free OneDrive cloud storage and an additional 15GB storage if auto-upload to OneDrive is activated.

Microsoft Lumia 540 Dual SIM features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS LCD display offering a pixel density of 294ppi. It sports an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash while also housing a 5-megapixel wide-angle front-facing camera. The Lumia 540 Dual SIM’s connectivity features include USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi with hotspot, GPS, and 3G network support. Peer-to-Peer sharing and support for up to 8 Wi-Fi enabled devices for Wi-Fi hotspot are also included. The handset is backed by a 2200mAh replaceable battery, measures 144×73.69×9.37mm, and weighs 152 grams.

Microsoft Lumia 540 Dual SIM will be available in glossy cyan, orange, white, and matte black color options.
