Moto E 2nd Gen at a glance

Within a week of the global launch, Motorola will bring the second generation of its affordable smartphone ‘Moto E’ to India on March 10, signifying the growing importance of the market here for the US-based firm.

The new Moto E (2nd gen) 3G variant will be launched on Flipkart.com at a price of Rs 6,999 on March 10. The company has sent out press teasers of the same.

The phone features a 4.5-inch qHD screen, a fast quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz and 1GB. The phone also has a 5-megapixel auto focus camera but doesn’t come with flash on the back and has a VGA camera on the front.

Notably, the Moto E will be one of the first phones in the market to run Android 5.0 Lollipop in an unadulterated form out of the box. The phone is also said to have 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded via a microSD card slot. It is powered by a bigger 2,390 mAh battery.

We will do a hands on review of the Moto E 2nd gen very soon so keep watching for more info.
