Project Caesar, the next phone from Yu to be available in April

YU is already working on its second smartphone, YU Televentures co-founder Rahul Sharma revealed during an exclusive interview with BGR India. Codenamed “Project Caesar”, the smartphone will be launched in India in April.

It is known that the new phone will be running on Android Lollipop-based Cyanogen OS 12.
It looks like the company which grabbed the headlines during the late last year after the launch of Yureka Smartphone will continue to employ the online-only retail model to its next devices too.

Considering that the former device is a 5.5-inch phablet, the Micromax owned company could be designing a smaller release. This way, it’ll be able to compete with devices like the Lenovo A6000 and Android One phones as well as upcoming handsets such as the Redmi 2 and the new Asus Zenfone 2 series.

Rahul Sharma also went on to say that Yu isn’t just a smartphone company and this highly suggests that we could see other devices like tablets and wearables surface in the near future.
